Dear Marquette community,
Being a good steward of our natural resources and our community is inextricably tied to who we are as a Catholic, Jesuit university. Few people understand that better than Chelsea Malacara, this month’s Difference Maker.
As the university’s sustainability and energy management coordinator, and co-leader of our Laudato si’ Action Plan Task Force, Chelsea is dedicated to developing and implementing campuswide programs and partnerships that help Marquette reduce waste and carbon emissions and promote a culture of sustainability among our community.
Let’s learn more about some of the recent sustainability efforts Chelsea is helping to advance, such as the Go Wild! Pocket Prairies and MarKept/Iggy’s Market initiatives. I know you will find, as I have, why she is a Marquette Difference Maker.
Best,
Dr. Michael R. Lovell
