Pat Kennelly | The Difference Makers at Marquette University

Dear Marquette community,

As a homeowner raising his family in the Near West Side neighborhood, Patrick Kennelly is modeling how change can happen in our communities. Passionate about building thriving urban neighborhoods that are active, healthy and more equitable, Pat is a true Difference Maker.

As director of Marquette’s Center for Peacemaking, Pat is keenly focused on research and action that promotes peace, human dignity and justice. His work with the Near West Side Partners and its signature PARC (Promoting Assets, Reducing Crime) initiative is a living demonstration of how — through strategic collaborations among businesses, residents, government and community stakeholders — we can address indignities and activate neighborhoods for positive change.

As we celebrate Near West Side Week, please take a moment and learn more about Pat’s steadfast commitment to community revitalization and why he is this month’s Difference Maker.

Best,

Dr. Michael R. Lovell
President
