Take part in Valley Week, Sept. 23-30 

Valley Week, which showcases unique and fun ways to experience nature, destinations, and history in the Menomonee River Valley, runs from Sept. 23-30. The event features the valley’s world-class companies, popular destinations and outdoor recreation.

Saturday, Sept. 23 

  • Third Space Brewing 7th Anniversary Party | Noon to 10 p.m. at Third Space (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.)
    • The event will include multiple beer releases, food trucks, live music and more. 
  • Doors Open in the Valley | All day in various locations 
    • Doors Open Milwaukee is a two-day public celebration of Milwaukee’s art, architecture, culture and history. Tour over 100 locations, including several in the valley. 

Sunday, Sept. 24 

  • Public art walking tour | 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. starting at Shimek Memorial Track and Field Facility (1818 W. Canal St.) 
    • Explore how St. Paul Avenue has changed over the years from bustling manufacturing corridor to mostly vacant to MKE’s growing design district. This event is free. 
  • Doors Open in the Valley | All day in various locations 
    • Doors Open Milwaukee is a two-day public celebration of Milwaukee’s art, architecture, culture and history. Tour over 100 locations, including several in the valley. 

Monday, Sept. 25 

  • Valley Business Bags Tournament | 4:30 p.m. at the Harley-Davidson Museum (400 W. Canal St.)
    • Toss your way to the top with riverfront views. Cost is $75 per team, with proceeds going to MVP. 

Tuesday, Sept. 26 

  • Sunset kayak tour | 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Milwaukee Kayak Company (318 S. Water St.) 
    • Get a new look at Milwaukee on this guided paddle on the Menomonee River. Price is $45/person, with $20 donated to MVP. 
  • Valley Job Fair | 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Standard Electric Supply Co. (222 N. Emmber Lane) 
    • The Job Fair is a chance to explore the job opportunities in the Menomonee River Valley in the heart of the city. This fair offers onsite interviews, along with the opportunity to meet with Valley companies that are hiring right now. 
  • Happy Hour Cruises | 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. at Twisted Fisherman Crab Shack (1200 W. Canal St.) 
    • Three 45-minute cruises on the Menomonee River offer a journey through the valley’s past and a glimpse of its future as well as beer and cocktails. $15 includes a drink. 

Thursday, Sept. 28 

  • MVP all-inclusive Brewers game | 2 p.m. at American Family Field 
    • The Milwaukee Brewers are playing the St. Louis Cardinals, and Valley employees score an incredible deal with exclusive seating in the Johnsonville Party Deck! Price is $70/ticket. 

Friday, Sept. 29 

  • Breakfast pizza and electronics recycling | 7 a.m. to noon at Stamm Tech (1207 W. Canal St.) 
    • Drop off those old electronics laying around and get charged up with free Palermo’s breakfast pizza, Rishi Sparkling Botanicals and coffee. This event is free to attend. 

Saturday, Sept. 30 

  • Kids Story Hike | 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Urban Ecology Center (3700 W. Pierce St.) 
    • Three storytellers will be stationed around Three Bridges Park ready to engage young minds with stories amidst nature in the heart of the city. This event is free to attend.
