The annual Poker Walk and Run will take place on Wednesday, May 24, at noon in Central Mall. Prizes will be awarded to the top poker hands and all registered participants will be eligible for giveaways.
Registration will take place at the event beginning at noon. The walk/run is staged around the Marquette Mile (the perimeter of campus).
Prizes include:
- Tickets to a Marquette men’s and women’s basketball game
- Tickets to a show at the Helfaer Theatre
- Memorabilia from the Marquette Spirit Shop
- Hoodies from the Haggerty Museum of Art
The Poker Walk/Run coincides with the Walk This Way Challenge, an opportunity to earn My Rewards Points through the My Wellness Portal. Marquette employees and their spouses can participate in this challenge that encourages fitness through walking. The goal is to walk at least 50,000 steps per week for a total of 200,000 steps from May 1 to May 29.
