The Opus College of Engineering’s eighth annual Design Day will be held in Engineering Hall on Friday, May 5, from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Marquette’s engineering students. No advanced registration is required.
The celebration of student design and innovation will showcase an array of year-round design activities that let students put their knowledge and skills into action to solve real-world problems.
Senior design projects representing all engineering departments will be presented, as well as other engineering course projects and student-led design work.
In addition to student presentations, a keynote presentation will be hosted at 12:30 p.m. in Engineering Hall 136. Scott Felber, product marketing manager at Siemens, will present “The Future of Machinery Design, Simulation, and Automation,” discussing how machine builders can produce highly tailored machines that satiate evolving customer requirements, all within short timeframes.
