Learn about the history of Marquette through new Marquette Presidents website

The Raynor Memorial Libraries, Marquette University Archives, Raynor Digital Scholarship Lab and the Office of the President have jointly launched the Marquette University Presidents website, which traces the history of the university through its leaders.

The website includes a timeline detailing the careers of every Marquette president, starting with Rev. Joseph F. Rigge, S.J., in 1881 all the way to Dr. Michael R. Lovell in the present day.

Additional documents that formed the basis of the timeline are also available on the Raynor Memorial Libraries’ E-publications@Marquette webpage. There you can find a three-page introduction about the project, a 68-page PDF document with more information on the presidents and a collection of supporting documents.
