Today, Marquette launched a new comprehensive university safety website that has additional safety resources and makes it easier for students, families, faculty and staff to navigate useful safety information online. The new site integrates relevant safety and well-being content from multiple university departments and includes new resources:
- More thorough safety FAQ
- Details about the university’s emergency management committee
- Detailed transportation page
- Relevant news section on the main page
- Well-being and support services
- Page specifically for parents
This effort is an outcome of a proposal approved by the President’s Task Force on Community Safety in June. The Marquette University Police Department and the Office of University Relations collaborated with a user-experience expert to evaluate all relevant content and create a natural website structure that’s easier to use and reflects the multitude of infrastructure, personnel, resources and partnerships that make Marquette a safe environment to learn, live and work.
