Important ticket information for May 2023 undergraduate Commencement ceremony

November 16, 2022

Congratulations to our students who will graduate in May 2023! Marquette University looks forward to honoring your many accomplishments.

Due to the size of this year’s graduating class and venue capacity limits, guest tickets will be required for the undergraduate Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 9 a.m. at the Fiserv Forum. Each undergraduate student who will be attending the ceremony may invite up to four guests and each guest will require an electronic ticket to enter Fiserv Forum. Graduating students themselves will not need a ticket.

This spring, the university will provide details on the electronic ticketing process. Please watch Marquette Today and the Commencement website for these updates.

Both the undergraduate and graduate Commencement ceremonies will also be livestreamed on the Commencement website.

There will be no ticketing requirement nor a limit on guests for the Graduate School and Graduate School of Management ceremony because of the size of those classes.

As a reminder, Marquette has moved its usual Sunday Commencement ceremony to Saturday, May 20. Marquette’s 142nd Commencement ceremony will be held Saturday, May 20, at the Fiserv Forum, located at 1111 Vel R. Phillips Ave., Milwaukee. The undergraduate ceremony will be at 9 a.m. on May 20; the Graduate School and Graduate School of Management ceremony will be later that day at 2 p.m.

In keeping with tradition, the School of Dentistry, Law School and College of Health Sciences’ professional programs will hold separate ceremonies and will not be part of the Fiserv Forum ceremonies; details will be announced later. There will be no other college-specific ceremonies.

Baccalaureate Mass will be held Friday, May 19, at 3:30 p.m. at the Al McGuire Center on campus. The Mass, at which all graduating Marquette students and their guests are welcome, will be followed by a reception hosted by President Michael R. Lovell and the Marquette Jesuit community. More information can be found on the Commencement website.
