Marquette’s Institute for Women’s Leadership will begin its 2022–23 WISDOM series on Friday, Oct. 14, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the 707 Hub.
The series will feature alumnae from the field of political science, including:
- Isioma Nwabuzor, associate general counsel and assistant corporate secretary of Modine Manufacturing
- Marlo Reeves, associate researcher, socially responsible evaluation in education at UW-Milwaukee
- Wendy Weckler, executive director of Hope House
WISDOM is an ongoing series that highlights women and nonbinary individuals in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), along with related social, behavioral and economic (SBE) science fields.
In addition to discussing the challenges that underrepresented groups face in STEM fields, attendees will be able to talk and network with panelists in small groups.
All graduate and undergraduate students are welcome to attend this event, along with faculty, staff and community members who are interested in the STEM and political science fields. While panelists are typically women, these events are open to all genders, as allyship is a vital component in conversations about equity. This will be an in-person event with lunch provided.
To participate, register online by Friday, Oct. 14. Contact WIN Coordinator Karalee Surface with any questions.
