Beyond MU webinar ‘Building a Culture for Student Success,’ May 25

Beyond MU: Lifelong Learning will host a webinar titled “Building a Culture for Student Success” on Wednesday, May 25, at noon.

Learn how Marquette is re-envisioning student success across campus through a holistic approach that provides wrap-around support services in a central hub — the Lemonis Center for Student Success. The Lemonis Center will build on Marquette’s Catholic, Jesuit tradition by helping students engage in thoughtful discernment that is infused in Ignatian education, emphasizing a deep sense of connection and meaningful engagement.

Through the center and beyond, our student success initiative will connect students with a network of advisers, mentors and resources from the moment they step on campus until they graduate. In addition, the center will employ innovative technology and groundbreaking research to support students as they develop the skills and resilience to overcome challenges and foster a sense of belonging.

Marquette’s student success initiative will help improve retention and graduation rates as well as enrich and expand student opportunities — a primary objective in the university’s Time to Rise fundraising campaign.

The webinar will feature:

  • Dr. Sarah Feldner, dean of the Diederich College of Communication
  • Dr. John Su, vice provost for academic affairs and student success
