Poverty Research Initiative Steering Committee hosting Winter Social Event

Community Engagement

The Poverty Research Initiative Steering Committee is hosting its Winter Social Event and Gathering on Jan. 27 from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the 707 Hub (1102 West Wisconsin Ave.). All faculty, staff and students are invited to discuss ventures and objectives in the eradication of poverty in the Milwaukee area and beyond.

In recognition of the Ignatian Year and the Jesuits’ Universal Apostolic Preference of “walking with the excluded,” the committee hopes to inspire discussions and collaborations around current research and initiatives as we combat poverty conditions in our communities.

Registration can be done here.

The Poverty Research Initiative convenes monthly throughout the 2021-2022 academic year, engaging community leaders in dialogue and mutual exchange of ideas to inform both practice and research outcomes. You can learn more about it here.
