Marquette monitoring legal status of COVID-19 federal mandates

At this time, the COVID-19 federal Executive Order 14042 covering federal contractors remains in litigation and implementation of the requirements is paused. Marquette University is actively monitoring the legal status of the Occupational Health and Safety Administration’s (OSHA) emergency temporary standard (ETS) related to COVID-19 mitigation, a standard that may cover the university if it is upheld while the federal contractor mandate litigation is pending. The Marquette COVID-19 Response Team continues to monitor the situation and will provide necessary updates when more information is available in 2022.

All of Marquette’s current COVID-19 mitigation policies remain in place for the spring semester. Required testing protocol continues for employees who have not uploaded proof of vaccination through the MU Medical Portal. Information regarding our current protocols is available on our COVID-19 FAQ page.
