The Haggerty Museum of Art will partner with Ex Fabula for two virtual storyslam workshops on Tuesday, Aug. 24, and Tuesday, Aug. 31, at 6 p.m.
Ex Fabula is a nonprofit that connects Milwaukee through real stories. The presentations will feature storyteller María Magdalena Campos-Pons.
The event invites you to discover, shape and share real stories from your life inspired by the Haggerty exhibition “Sea and Self.” At the first workshop, participants will be guided by Ex Fabula coaches through a series of interactive activities including:
- Co-creation of a “Brave Space”
- Elements of a powerful story/story structure
- Generating story ideas
The second workshop will include:
- Small group sharing
- Polishing your story
- Learning about opportunities to take your storytelling to the next level by sharing on stage at the hybrid StorySlam (virtual and in-person) StorySlam on Tuesday, Sept. 14, during Welcoming Week
