Revised Title IX policy now available

In response to the Title IX Final Regulations released by the U.S. Department of Education, Marquette implemented an interim sexual harassment and sex discrimination policy that went into effect on Aug. 14, 2020.

At the conclusion of the fall semester, the university reviewed feedback and slightly revised the policy. Effective Monday, Feb. 8, 2021, the Marquette University Sexual Harassment and Sex Discrimination Policy replaces the interim policy.

The university anticipates that, although new guidance will likely emerge from the U.S. Department of Education, the Title IX Final Regulations will be in effect for at least the next year.

Marquette remains committed to creating and sustaining an inclusive and respectful educational and working environment for everyone in our community. Sex or gender discrimination, including sexual assault and relationship violence, are not tolerated. The Title IX Office is available for meetings and consultations, and Advocacy Services is available to provide confidential support.
