This year, Marquette’s Employee Resource Groups are hosting a selfie challenge to support local businesses. Simply buy from a local business, take a selfie with the food, product or gift card and post to Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #MUsupportslocal.
Local businesses include:
- Marquette’s partner businesses
- Near West Side businesses
- Student and staff recommendations for local minority-owned businesses
- Milwaukee’s Black-owned businesses
Each time you use the hashtag, your name will be entered into a giveaway drawing for a Marquette swag prize, to be drawn on Friday, Dec. 18. Delivery cannot be guaranteed by Christmas.
Parents, students, alumni and friends who are not on campus can participate by purchasing gift cards from a local business’ website. These make great stocking stuffers and will help support many local businesses during this difficult season.
