New ‘Golden Eagle Advantage’ program provides pathway to Marquette for transfer students; will be available fall 2021

Marquette continues to serve students within the City of Milwaukee with a new bridge program, “The Golden Eagle Advantage.” This opportunity allows graduates from St. Augustine Preparatory Academy to begin their higher education experience at MATC with support and a clear plan to transfer to Marquette.

While attending MATC, students participating in the program will have access to a Marquette adviser, campus libraries, student organizations, intermural sports and a peer mentor. This new program mirrors the opportunities available to students participating in previously established bridge programs with Marquette University High School and Catholic Memorial High School.

Located on Milwaukee’s South Side, St. Augustine Preparatory Academy is a private school that participates in the “Milwaukee Parental Choice Program” and serves approximately 1,200 students from K4 through 12th grade. There are 561 students in the high school, which will graduate its first class in 2021.
