Academic Budget / Program Planning Workgroups overview will be Oct. 15; register now

The University Academic Senate and the Office of the Provost will host an Academic Budget / Program Planning Workgroups overview for the campus community on Thursday, Oct. 15, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. via Microsoft Teams Live.

Register via Eventbrite by Wednesday, Oct. 14. A link to join the virtual event will be sent to registrants on Thursday morning.

Please note that this event is for Marquette students, faculty and staff — only those with Marquette email addresses will be admitted. The event will be recorded for later viewing.

The event will be moderated by Dr. Sumana Chattopadhyay, chair of University Academic Senate and associate professor of digital media and performing arts. President Michael R. Lovell will offer opening remarks, followed by a description of the process and next steps by Provost Kimo Ah Yun.

Lastly, leaders from the following workgroups will present an overview of their respective plans for engaging the campus community in their short-term and long-term work:

  • Teaching
  • Research
  • Program offerings
  • Colleges / administrative structures
  • Shared services
  • Discretionary expenses
  • Student body

Presentations will be followed by a Q&A.
