Six-week virtual Anti-Racism Workshop begins Oct. 7

Marquette students are invited to participate in a six-week virtual Anti-Racism Workshop. It will be held on Wednesdays, Oct. 7 through Nov. 11, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.

In collaboration with St. Norbert College, the workshop is an opportunity for students at St. Norbert and Marquette to learn more about anti-racism and analyze their ideas about race / racism. Participants will develop a deeper understanding of systemic racism and its manifestations on both a structural and interpersonal level. Ultimately, this work is aimed at developing skills to equip members of the St. Norbert community and the Marquette community to work toward racial justice.

This six-week virtual workshop will include a onehour session each week with brief assigned work in between each session. This space is committed to embodying the values of the Cassandra Voss Center: scholarship-driven, welcoming, innovative and fun. All students are encouraged to register for this program, regardless of your background or previous knowledge around issues related to anti-racism.
