Dr. Anne P. DePrince, distinguished university professor in psychology and associate vice provost of public good strategy and research at the University of Denver, will deliver the annual Dr. MaryAnne Siderits Lecture on Thursday, Oct. 9, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. in AMU 163.
DePrince’s lecture is titled “Awareness Isn’t Enough: Leveraging Research to Build Our Common Cause Ending Intimate Violence.”
DePrince is the author of “Every 90 Seconds: Our Common Cause Ending Violence Against Women.” She studies trauma with an emphasis on intimate violence. DePrince works with community partners to identify research questions that can inform policy and practice while advancing our scientific understanding of trauma outcomes and interventions.
The event is free and open to the entire Marquette University community. A reception will follow.
