Circulating on urban walls and in street protests, poetry not only communicates but transforms public space into a site of collective memory and resistance. Dr. Diana Aldrete, assistant professor of language and culture studies and human rights at Trinity College, will present a talk titled “Poetry in Circulation and Performative Protest Against Feminicide in Latin America” on Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 5:30 p.m. in Lalumiere Language Hall 232. Her talk, in English with examples in Spanish, is free and open to the public.
