Dr. Wim Ruitenburg, professor of mathematical and statistical sciences, will present a seminar titled, “Puzzles and some logic” on Friday, Feb. 21, at 1 p.m. in Cudahy Hall 401.
Supported by graduate students in the Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences, Ruitenburg will present a broad variety of mathematical puzzles, some with logical content. Their solutions require precise and correct reasoning, in line with what is commonly known as pure mathematics.
Post-colloquium refreshments will be served after 2 p.m. in Cudahy Hall 342. For more information on MSSC seminars, please visit their website or contact Dr. Naveen Bansal.
