The Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences will host a seminar titled “Missing Value Imputation for Non-Normal Data,” presented by Dr. Ravindra Khattree, distinguished university professor of applied statistics and co-director of the Center for Data Science and Big Data Analytics at Oakland University. The seminar will run on Friday, Oct. 25, at 1 p.m. in Cudahy Hall R401, with virtual attendance available via MS Teams.

Khattree will discuss advanced statistical techniques for missing value imputation in non-normal datasets. His presentation will focus on innovative methods, including Copula-based transformations, which allow for more efficient multivariate analysis. He will also discuss solutions for imputing missing data in Lomax distributions, highlighting the practical advantages of these approaches.

After the seminar, refreshments will be served in Cudahy 342 starting at 2 p.m. For more information, visit the colloquium page or contact Dr. Naveen Bansal at naveen.bansal@marquette.edu.
