The Office of University Relations will co-host the First Look Forum on Thursday, April 17, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Lemonis Center for Student Success.
The event brings together Milwaukee’s top academic stakeholders, business leaders, investors and entrepreneurs to connect with cutting-edge researchers and groundbreaking technologies from our region. Participants will have the opportunity to hear directly from innovators presenting solutions to pressing unmet needs and help shape their journey to market, turning discoveries into products that benefit society.
Featured speakers include:
- Dr. Walter Bialkowski, associate professor of practice of computer science in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, who will present “Data Science to Optimize Hunger Relief”
- Dr. Kyle Leistikow, research manager at the Microbal Discovery Group, and Dr. Krassimira Hristova, professor of microbial ecology of fresh water ecosystems, who will present “New Probiotic to Weaken Multidrug-Resistant Infections”
- President Kimo Ah Yun, who will deliver remarks alongside UW-Milwaukee Chancellor Mark Mone and Medical College of Wisconsin President and CEO John Raymond
University Relations is co-hosting with the UW-Milwaukee Research Foundation, the Office of Technology Development at the Medical College of Wisconsin and Versiti.
