First-Gen Friday events will be held Oct. 3 and Nov. 7 from noon to 1 p.m. in AMU 163.
First-Gen Friday is a monthly series dedicated to celebrating and supporting first-generation college students. Each event offers a welcoming space to connect with peers, staff and campus resources while fostering a strong sense of community and belonging. Through meaningful conversations and shared experiences, First-Gen Friday empowers first-gen students to navigate college with confidence, pride and support.
All students are welcome to attend, and food will be provided. No registration is required.
The events will feature:
- Oct. 3: Study Skills Workshop, sponsored by the Academic Resource Center
- Nov. 7: Rise Up! A First-Gen Celebration
