Join the Center for Teaching and Learning for a discussion about creating assignments with generative artificial intelligence in mind on Thursday, Jan. 16, from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in Raynor Library CTL 330B. Register online. Educators, present and future, are welcome to join.
The session will discuss how students are using various generative AI tools to perform diverse tasks for assignments. Participants will explore how assignment design can establish and communicate expectations for students regarding the appropriateness of using different tools in divergent ways for diverse tasks.
Maxwell Gray will lead the discussion. Gray is the digital scholarship librarian in the Department of Research, Teaching and Learning in Raynor Library. This semester, he is a CTL workshop leader. In the fall, he co-led the community of practice for AI at the CTL. He also co-leads the Human Communication Collective on campus with Dr. Jacob Riyeff, teaching associate professor of English.
