Join the Department of Computer Science for a colloquium with Dr. Priya Deshpande on Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in Cudahy Hall 414.
Deshpande will discuss how massive volumes of biomedical data — generated across hospitals, labs and research institutes — can be better integrated and reused to support healthcare innovation. Her research focuses on developing intelligent algorithms that make it easier to search, clean and connect complex datasets, helping reduce the time and cost of data preparation. These methods not only improve clinical decision-making but also offer scalable solutions for other fields dealing with fragmented data.
Deshpande is an assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering at Marquette and a Senior Member of IEEE. Her work spans machine learning, natural language processing, and big data analytics, with a focus on biomedical informatics.
