This year’s Commercial Banking Conference will be on April 17 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Alumni Memorial Union. Registration is free for students. Admission is $100 for all other in-person attendees and $50 for online attendees.

This year’s conference is titled “Tariffs and the Economy, Regulatory Changes, and Inflation in the Trump Era: Early Actions and What You Need to Know.” Economic, legal and legislative experts will share their views on tariffs, the trade deficit, inflation, regulatory changes and how these issues might impact the banking world. Speakers include Adam Hersh, senior economist for the Economic Policy Institute of Washington, D.C., and Robert Fleetwood, attorney and senior partner of the law firm Barack Ferrazzano Kirschbaum & Nagelberg. 

This conference is jointly hosted by the Marquette Commercial Banking Program and the College of Business Administration. Prior summits have addressed other important and timely issues affecting the banking industry including  artificial intelligenceclimate change, cybersecurity, financial crime and fintech.
