Join Kings March Chess and Your Move MKE for MKE Chess Fest on Saturday, March 21, from noon to 6 p.m. in O’Brien Hall.
The event will feature quick and blitz chess tournaments open to players of all ages and skill levels, as well as a free youth tournament for players age 12 and younger rated 1200 or below.
Registration for the first session runs from noon to 12:45 p.m., followed by quick events from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
A second registration and break will take place from 3:15 p.m. to 3:45 p.m., followed by the blitz event from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The free youth quick event will award prizes of $100 for first place, $50 for second place and $25 for third place. Register online.
The all-ages quick event costs $25 online or $30 on-site, with prizes of $250 for first place, $150 for second place, $75 for third place and a $50 prize for players rated under 1400. Register online.
