The Sigma Phi Delta Eta chapter at Marquette is hosting a presentation exploring electric power delivery from the perspective of the applied practice of power engineering on Tuesday, April 8, at 5:15 p.m. on the second floor of Engineering Hall.

The presentation will start with a review of power system fundamentals, leading into defining the various types of substations and describing their purposes. The discussion will also explore transmission lines —connections between substations to form “the grid” — and review the various arrangements of substations that are typical in the power delivery space, exploring the pros and cons of each.

No registration is required.
