We invite you to join fellow Marquette alumnae and friends at the annual AMUW Advent Reflection event. Enjoy this heartwarming gathering as we come together to reflect on the significance of Advent.

Dr. Karen Robinson, Assistant Dean Graduate Programs and Professor, College of Nursing, will share this year’s reflection.

Dr. Karen Robinson is a maternal-child health scholar whose work focuses on supporting mothers, babies, and families during the critical early stages of life. Her research explores ways to enhance breastfeeding support and improve health outcomes for African American mothers and their infants. Through thoughtful, community-centered research, she is helping shape more effective and compassionate approaches to maternal and child healthcare.

A three-time Marquette alumna, she earned her BSN, MSN in Nurse-Midwifery, and PhD in Nursing from Marquette University and has devoted her career to advancing nursing education, midwifery practice, and maternal-child health.

Dr. Robinson is also a breast cancer survivor whose personal journey has strengthened her commitment to advocacy, education, and community engagement.
