Faculty and staff volunteers needed for Commencement
The university is seeking faculty and staff volunteers for the 2020 Commencement ceremony, which will be held on Sunday, May 17. Volunteers will be column marshals, guiding the graduates, faculty, staff and stage party into the arena, and escorting them out after the ceremony. Faber Center to host ‘Pausing with the Psalms,’ March 19 – April 30
Facilitated by Rev. John Schwantes, S.J.,the Faber Center will host “Pausing with the Psalms,” on the following Thursdays: March 19 and 26, April 2, 16, 23 and 30 from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Zilber Hall Chapel. No registration is necessary.
Soup with Substance will honor Women’s History Month, March 4
The March 4 Soup with Substance topic will be Women’s History Month. The event will take place on Wednesday, March 4, from noon to 1 p.m. in the AMU, Henke Lounge. Lunafest film festival celebrates women, March 24
Lunafest, a traveling film festival showcasing seven short films that are by, for and about women, will come to Marquette on Tuesday, March 24, in the Weasler Auditorium. American Cancer Society Philanthropy Formal is March 27
Delta Xi Phi, Marquette’s multicultural sorority, will host a formal event to raise money for the American Cancer Society on Friday, March 27, at 7 p.m. in the AMU, Monaghan Ballroom. Register your residence with MUPD Vacant House Watch Program before Spring Break
During academic breaks, MUPD offers the Vacant House Watch program to students residing in the near-off-campus neighborhood. Students can use this form to register their residences with MUPD before leaving campus for spring or winter break. During break, officers monitor vacant residences during their routine patrols of the neighborhood. For more safety tips, visit MUPD’s website.
