Dear friends of the College of Nursing,

The Marquette College of Nursing educates the next generation of nurse leaders, individuals who will Be The Difference in hospitals, clinics and health care organizations. Through sound clinical judgment and a shared commitment to addressing injustice, Marquette Nurses work to produce better health outcomes for all patients.

Five actions define the Marquette Nurse: leading courageously, championing social justice, advocating for the vulnerable, thinking critically and caring for the whole person. Our students, faculty, staff and alumni put these principles into action every day through their research, instruction and practice.

With a new building on the way in 2024 and plans to educate 5,000 new nurses over the next decade, the College of Nursing is prepared to play a dynamic, essential role in addressing tomorrow’s health care challenges.

Sincerely,

Dr. Jill Guttormson
Dean, College of Nursing
