Schedule an end-of-year dental visit before benefits reset

The end of the year can be a busy time, with celebrations, holiday gatherings and wrap-up meetings filling up the calendar. It’s important to keep health in mind during this season, including dental care. November and December can be an ideal time to schedule a dental visit, especially because dental insurance benefits reset in January.

Marquette’s dental plan through Delta Dental of Wisconsin provides 100% coverage for diagnostic and preventative services from in-network providers. While care from an in-network dentist outside the university is covered after a deductible, services through the School of Dentistry Faculty Practice offer the highest level of coverage and do not require a deductible. In addition, basic and major procedures are covered between 80%-90%, and the Faculty Practice offers a referral credit program and payment plans. Marquette students who visit the clinic receive a 10% discount.

The clinic’s location on Marquette’s campus provides a convenient option for care. All patients are seen by licensed dentists who serve as Dental School faculty across all specialties, including pediatrics, orthodontics, periodontics and more. Open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the Faculty Practice is accepting new patients. To schedule an appointment with the Faculty Practice clinic, call (414) 288-0788.

More information on the university’s dental benefit can be found on the Dental Insurance page and the Total Rewards Guide.
