The Milwaukee Brewers are headed to the World Series for the first time in 44 years, and Marquette is joining the celebration.
Faculty, staff and students are invited to download, print and display a special digital poster recognizing the Brewers’ historic postseason run and the university’s longstanding connection to both the team and the city of Milwaukee.
The poster is designed for personal printing and display in offices, residence halls, workspaces and common areas across campus. As excitement builds ahead of the World Series, the university will celebrate in several ways, including Brewers-themed ribbons adorning streetlamps along Wisconsin Avenue.
The Brewers are woven into Marquette’s story in many ways, from alumni and students who have interned or worked with the organization to shared traditions that bring together the university and the Milwaukee community.
The World Series kicks off in Milwaukee’s American Family Field on Friday, Oct. 23, at a time to be announced.
