Take part in Valley Week, Sept. 19-26 

Valley Week, which showcases unique and fun ways to experience nature, destinations and history in the Menomonee River Valley, runs from Sept. 19-26. The event features the valley’s world-class companies, popular destinations and outdoor recreation.

Friday, Sept. 18, through Saturday, Sept. 19 

  • Valley Week Kickoff: Menomonee River Valley x Near West Side Scavenger Hunt 
    • All day | Throughout the Valley and Near West Side Neighborhoods 
    • This year, Near West Side Partners and Menomonee Valley Partners are joining forces to create an epic scavenger hunt through the neighborhoods. Grab your group, test your Milwaukee cred and complete missions in Milwaukee’s Menomonee River Valley and the Near West Side. 

Sunday, Sept. 20 

  • Packers watch party 
    • Noon to 3 p.m. | Lombardi Brewing Co. (2200 W Mt Vernon Ave.) 

Monday, Sept. 21 

  • Valley Wellness Series: Movement & Meditation 
    • 7 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. | Menomonee Valley Community Park 
    • Join a 45-minute morning reset designed to help you slow down, reconnect and recharge. Through gentle mindful movement, meditation and nature immersion, you’ll be guided to step away from the stress of the workday, tune into the present moment and connect with yourself and others. Participants are asked to bring their own yoga mat or towel. 
  • Valley Business Bags Tournament 
    • 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. | Harley-Davidson Museum (400 W Canal St.) 
    • The Valley Week Bags Tournament gives Valley businesses the chance to network and mingle while enjoying some friendly competition and great views of downtown from MOTOR® Bar & Restaurant at the Harley-Davidson Museum. 

Tuesday, Sept. 22 

  • Birding with UEC 
    • 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. | Urban Ecology Center – Menomonee Valley / Silver City (3700 W Pierce St.) 
    • Join bird watchers of all ability levels and explore the park. Participants will meet in front of the Menomonee Valley building. 
  • Valley Week Workforce Series: Lunch & Learn 
    • 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. | Standard Electric Supply Co. (222 N Emmber Ln.)  
    • Note: This is open to Valley businesses only 
    • This Lunch & Learn is designed to connect employers with Milwaukee’s workforce organizations, resources and solutions. Learn more about the populations each organization serves, when and how to engage workforce partners, current workforce trends and opportunities for collaboration. 
  • Valley Week Workforce Series: Evening Resource Connector 
    • 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. | Standard Electric Supply Co. (222 N Emmber Ln.) 
    • Open to the public, this event is designed to help residents prepare for employment opportunities in the Valley through resume assistance, job application workshops, interview preparation and other career-readiness resources. 

Wednesday, Sept. 23 

  • Morning electronics recycling 
  • MKE River Roundup 
    • 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. | Twisted Fisherman (1200 W Canal St.) 
    • Join for a floating concert and kayak paddle on the Milwaukee and Menomonee Rivers, with The MKE River Roundup powered by Joy Engine. 
  • Valley Wellness Series: Breathwork 
    • 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. | Three Bridges Park (meet at Valley Passage Bridge, 3711 W Canal St.)
    • End your day learning more about the power of breath. Wear light, comfy clothes and bring a water bottle, and we’ll handle the rest. Feel refreshed, calm and focused. Discover simple, daily breathing techniques to boost energy and tranquility. 

Thursday, Sept. 24 

  • Milwaukee’s Best Park: A Tribute & Tour of Three Bridges Park with Adam Carr 
    • 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. | Urban Ecology Center – Menomonee Valley / Silver City (3700 W Pierce St.) 
    • Join Silver City neighbor and Milwaukee community historian Adam Carr for a guided walk through the park he calls not just his favorite, but the best park in the world — and on this tour, he’ll make his case. Through local history, personal stories and the details most people walk right past, you’ll see and feel the Valley from the inside. 
  • Valley Wellness Series: Community Walk & Talk 
    • 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. | Beginning at the Urban Ecology Center, through Three Bridges Park, near the Domes, and back 
    • Come together for light physical activity and meaningful conversations, led by Marquette interns from SWIM. This group provides a safe, welcoming space to connect with others, support mental well-being and build healthy habits through walking in the Menomonee River Valley. 
  • Happy Hour Boat Cruise 
    • 4 p.m., 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. | Twisted Fisherman (1200 W Canal St.) 
    • The 45-minute cruise will take you along the Menomonee River for an evening of views, drinks and stories of the Valley. Bring some friends, grab a drink and enjoy one of your last chances to get out on the river before the seasons change. 

Friday, Sept. 25 

  • Third Space x Marquette Night 
    • 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. | Third Space Brewing Co. (1505 W St Paul Ave.) 
    • Third Space Brewing Co. is hosting a Brewmasters’ Toast featuring the tapping of Marquette Golden Ale, with $1 pints until the keg blows. Marquette students, faculty, staff and alumni also receive 25% off their tabs throughout the evening. 

Saturday, Sept. 26 

  • Valley Wellness Series: Gentle Vinyasa Yoga 
    • 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. | Three Bridges Park (meet at Valley Passage Bridge – 3711 W Canal St.) 
    • A moving meditation connecting breath with gentle poses, sun salutations and seated stretches. This practice promotes stress relief, mobility and heart-centered cardio. 
  • Marquette men’s soccer vs. Creighton 
    • 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Valley Fields 
    • Join members of the Valley community as they cheer on the Marquette soccer team.
