Seed Scholars second annual Research Symposium and Job Fair, April 30

The Northwestern Mutual Data Science Institute invites the Marquette community to join the second annual Seed Scholars Research Symposium and Job Fair on Saturday, April 30, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in AMU 227.

Seed Scholars financially supports students to apply data science to real-world challenges while creating solutions for mission-driven organizations. The program offers funded opportunities, mentorship and experiential learning, connecting students with community partners to work on data-driven projects that address pressing issues.

The event will feature a showcase of innovative student projects that highlight the powerful capabilities of data science in solving real-world problems. Through collaboration with Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin and other community partners, the Seed Scholars Program fosters academic excellence, service to the community and leadership development. Students in the program will have the opportunity to work directly with mission-based organizations, leveraging data science to create meaningful solutions and build impactful partnerships.

In addition to the student showcase, the event will include the presentation of the second Agent of Positive Change Award and prizes for 1st place ($500), 2nd place ($200) and 3rd place ($100) posters. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with students, faculty and community leaders and learn more about the ways in which the Seed Scholars Program is shaping the future of data science for social impact.
