Wellness + Recreation is partnering with the Marquette University Police Department to host a 24-hour Spin-a-Thon in support of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign. The event begins at noon on Tuesday, March 24, and continues through noon on Wednesday, March 25, at the Wellness + Helfaer Recreation facility.

Members of the Marquette community are invited to help keep the bikes moving for the full 24 hours. Participants may ride for as little as 30 minutes or gather coworkers, classmates or friends to maintain momentum throughout the event.

The Spin-a-Thon supports Marquette colleague Liz Sides, a 2026 Woman of Impact nominee, who is leading a Go Red for Women campaign to raise awareness and funds to fight heart disease — the leading cause of death in women.

How to participate

Advance registration is required, and riders must complete a donation to participate. Space is limited.
