Steven Robertson, associate director of the Educational Opportunity Program and pre-college programs, was named one of Wisconsin’s 32 Most Influential Black Leaders for 2025 by Madison 365.
A Marquette alumnus, Robertson is the project director and principal investigator for Marquette’s Upward Bound, Upward Bound Math & Science and Educational Talent Search programs, which provide academic support and college-access services for first-generation and low-income students. He oversees pre-college programming focused on advising, mentoring and enrichment designed to prepare students for postsecondary success.
Robertson was honored with an Excellence in University Service award in May, selected for exemplifying Marquette’s mission of excellence, faith, leadership and service.
