Campus Ministry will celebrate a “Mass of Healing” on Tuesday, Dec. 2, during the 10 p.m. Mass at St. Joan of Arc Chapel. During this Mass, an opportunity will be had to receive the Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick.
This Sacrament, which calls upon the healing mercies of our God, is available to persons suffering any illness, injury or disease — chronic or acute — including physical, mental health, affective or emotional concerns. “[T]hrough the sacrament of anointing, Christ strengthens the faithful who are afflicted by illness, providing them with the strongest means of support.” (Pastoral Care of the Sick, n. 5)
