Marquette’s third annual Participating Faculty Symposium will be held Monday, Nov. 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Tuesday, Nov. 25, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Raynor Library Beaumier Suites.

The symposium, held by the Center for Teaching and Learning, focuses on the theme of “Changing Cultures and Culture Change,” highlighting the important role of participating faculty — full-time, part-time and adjunct nontenure-stream — as educators, scholars and leaders at Marquette. The event stems from the work of participating faculty in two communities of practice hosted since spring 2023 and celebrates their contributions to teaching, scholarship and campus leadership.

Sessions will explore topics including supporting students, teaching Core classes, integrating the strengths of clinical faculty, and navigating teaching in the era of generative artificial intelligence. The symposium will also address ways to continue shaping Marquette’s culture to support participating faculty.

All faculty, staff and graduate students are welcome to attend. Participants are encouraged to join sessions as their schedules allow.
