The Institute for Women’s Leadership (IWL) will host its next IWL research social on Tuesday, Nov. 4, from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the 707 Hub. The event will feature presentations from the Summer 2025 IWL Interdisciplinary Research Grant recipients, highlighting their research from this summer. 

Attendees will hear from grantees Dr. Karisse A. Callender, associate professor of counselor education and counseling psychology in the College of Education; Dr. Jennifer Maney, director of the Center for Teaching and Learning; Dr. Dawne Moon, professor of social and cultural sciences in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences; Dr. Theresa W. Tobin, associate professor of philosophy in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences; and Dr. Sudeshna Roy, associate professor and Lucius W. Nieman Chair of Journalism in the Diederich College of Communication. 

Their projects explore topics including women’s belonging in academic book clubs, LGBTQ+ Catholic youth experiences with church teachings on gender and feminist media’s role in shaping health advocacy and policy following the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
