Beware of phishing emails and texts during Annual Enrollment

Employees are beginning to receive 2026 Annual Benefits Enrollment information from Marquette University via U.S. mail and email. At the same time, some employees have received emails and texts — these are not from the university; they are phishing scams. Please be aware that Marquette Human Resources will not ask you to provide personal benefit information via email or text.

Legitimate emails, which contain valuable information, will be sent to employees during the 2026 Annual Benefits Enrollment, Oct. 20 through Nov. 3, from the following addresses:

  • benefits@marquette.edu – You will receive information including links to enrollment documents from this HR/benefits-focused email address. Please note that you can go directly to the 2026 Annual Benefits Enrollment to obtain this same information.
  • no-reply_marquette@bswift.com – You will receive confirmation of 2026 annual benefit enrollment statements from this email following enrollment with an Optavise Expert (formerly known as Benefits Educator) or your self-enrollment.

Employees may also choose to enroll themselves beginning Monday, Oct. 20, at 8 a.m. Additional Annual Enrollment information is available on the 2026 Annual Benefits Enrollment website
