Dr. Marko Bastl named to BizTimes Milwaukee’s Notable Leaders in Supply Chain and Logistics

Dr. Marko Bastl, director of the Center for Supply Chain Management and associate professor in the College of Business Administration, was named to BizTimes Milwaukee’s Notable Leaders in Supply Chain and Logistics

Bastl’s 12-year tenure with Marquette has coincided with a large expansion of the university’s supply chain capabilities through the Center for Supply Chain Management. The supply chain program has ranked among the top 10 in the country in both undergraduate and graduate education, according to Gartner supply chain research.

A proponent of interdisciplinary and applied education, Bastl has helped secure grants for the Omron Advanced Automation Lab, giving students access to cutting-edge robotics. He has also formed partnerships with institutions from Bogota, Colombia, for hands-on international applied experiences.

One alumnus was also named to the list:

  • Pat Bergan, distribution and supply chain manager at A.L. Schutzman Co.

Notable Leaders in Supply Chain and Logistics is part of BizTimes Milwaukee’s Notable series, which recognizes leaders in the southeastern Wisconsin business community.
