The Lubar Center for Public Policy and Civic Education will host On the Issues: Tariffs and Wisconsin on Tuesday, Sept. 16, at noon in Eckstein Hall.
Will new trade policies have an outsized impact on Wisconsin, historically a strong manufacturing and agricultural state? Several guests will join Lubar Center Director Derek Mosley for a conversation to examine the topic:
- Cory Olishansky, consul and trade commissioner at the Consulate General of Canada
- Jackie Carter, director of the Port of Milwaukee
- Dale Kooyenga, president of the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce
- Jason Stein, president of the Wisconsin Policy Forum
The panel will explore how Wisconsin businesses and residents are navigating the current export and import economy.
