2025-26 tuition, housing and food rates announced

At Marquette University, we take seriously our promise to deliver a world-class, transformative Catholic, Jesuit education, and we remain committed to every student’s well-being. We understand this takes a considerable investment from our students and their families, and we do not take that lightly.

We work every day to provide a significant return on that investment by preparing our students for fulfilling careers and purposeful lives. Here are just a few examples of our success; you can read more at marquette.edu/value

  • Marquette is No. 6 in the nation and first in Wisconsin as a best college for job placement, based on Department of Education College Scorecard data.
  • Our teacher-scholar model has earned us recognition as a top 20 university for undergraduate teaching by U.S. News & World Report.
  • Our commitment to our Catholic, Jesuit mission is evident in our No. 1 national ranking for community service by The Princeton Review.

Affordability also remains front of mind for us. The university has over the past year undergone a thoughtful, rigorous process to identify new cost-savings and revenue-generation opportunities. Our goal is to make a Marquette education accessible, even as we face the same economic pressures that so many other organizations are experiencing.

Undergraduate tuition and room and board rates for 2025-26

To that end, the Marquette University Board of Trustees has approved smaller tuition and housing and food increases than last year. For the 2025-26 academic year, the Board of Trustees has approved a 4% undergraduate tuition increase, bringing undergraduate tuition to $52,070.

Housing and food rates will increase 3% for the 2025–26 academic year to account for improvements to and rising costs for residence and dining facilities. The university will also increase the Student Health Services Fee to $210 per semester to help provide expanded mental health services, and the Technology Fee will increase to $150 per semester to continue enhancing our technology and digital resources to support our students. Our student fees continue to be comparable to or less than peer universities. Visit marquette.edu/central for a complete listing of housing and food rates and student fees.

Families who currently receive federal financial aid should complete the FAFSA form by Feb. 1, 2025, to ensure they receive all eligible aid. Please contact Marquette Central at (414) 288-4000 with questions.
