Join the Center for Student Wellness and Health Promotion, along with Advocacy Services, for their second annual Take Back the Night event on Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the AMU Monaghan Ballrooms.
Take Back the Night started as a movement to fight for women’s safety but has evolved into an international organization that strives to end sexual violence for all genders.
The event will include a candlelight vigil, speak out and resource tabling. New this year is a visual art gallery of various interpretations of self-expression related to sexual violence, harassment and dating violence submitted by individual students, student organizations, staff and faculty.
A confidential survivor advocate is one call or walk-in away. Marquette Advocacy Services’ 24/7 hotline is (414) 288-5244 and its email address (business hours only) is advocacy@marquette.edu. Advocacy Services is in the 707 building room 130. See their website for more information.
