In consultation with Marquette’s Executive Leadership Team, strategic plan implementation co-leads Alix Riley, chief academic effectiveness officer, and Lora Strigens, vice president for planning and facilities management, have named a Strategic Integration Team to make recommendations to the ELT regarding:
- Integrating recommendations from Securing Our Future into the Healthy Campus theme of the strategic plan
- Sequencing initiatives identified in the strategic plan
- Aligning initiatives to ensure efficient and effective integration with university operations
- Identifying metrics to track progress
The Strategic Integration Team, which includes members of the University Leadership Council with the requisite expertise and oversight of areas that align with the priorities identified in the strategic plan, comprises the following individuals:
- Ian Gonzalez, vice president for finance
- Dr. Jill Guttormson, dean, College of Nursing
- Dr. Jeanne Hossenlopp, vice president for research and innovation
- Tim McMahon, vice president for university advancement
- Brian Troyer, vice president of enrollment management
- Dr. John Su, vice provost for academic affairs and student success
The Strategic Integration Team will receive support and resources from Cindy Petrites, chief of staff to the provost; Jean Dole, chief of staff to the executive vice president and chief operating officer; IT Services; and the Office of University Relations.
In the near term, the Strategic Integration Team as identified its initial goals:
- Develop the implementation structure, including integration of Securing Our Future into the Healthy Campus theme
- Identify the initiative leaders, utilize existing teams, and build new groups engaging shared governance on relevant initiatives
- Ensure alignment across initiatives and university operations
- Recommend a reporting framework, including metrics to track progress
