The Marquette Mentors program launched in 2013 with 30 alumni mentor-mentee matches. Under Dan DeWeerdt’s leadership, Marquette Mentors has grown to nearly 200 matches and is known across the nation as the “gold standard” in higher education. Without a doubt, Dan is a Marquette Difference Maker.
Dan serves as the Robert H. Radtke Director of Marquette Mentors, an endowed position created through a generous $1.5 million gift from alumnus and Marquette University Alumni Association President Bill Krueger, Eng ’87. Krueger named the directorship after his own Marquette mentor — a testament to the power of the mentor-mentee relationship.
Let’s learn more about Marquette Mentors from Dan himself, who many call the “heart and soul” of the program — and whom we can all call a true Difference Maker.
Best,
Dr. Michael R. Lovell
President
