North 16th Street will be closed from West Clybourn Street to West Wisconsin Avenue, Monday, Oct. 16, through Friday, Nov. 17, to accommodate utilities being extended to the reimagined Wellness + Helfaer Recreation facility. The timing and duration of the work is weather dependent and may flex. Updates will be provided if that occurs.
The closure will require alternative routes for all vehicular traffic along North 16th Street. There will be minimal impact on pedestrian access along the east side of 16th Street.
Parking in Lot N for the Schroeder Complex clinics will remain available. Deliveries for Cramer Hall and Schroeder Complex will require alternative means via West Wisconsin Avenue or coordinated via access through Parking Lot N.
When it opens, the approximately 180,000-square-foot Wellness + Helfaer Recreation facility will bring together campus fitness and recreation facilities with the Counseling Center and the Marquette University Medical Clinic — centralizing student services currently dispersed across campus.
