Marquette University has entered into a competition with Butler University, pitting the two universities against each other in a blood drive competition.
Marquette will host blood drives throughout the academic year in conjunction with Versiti. Terms of the competition and any potential wagers between the campuses will be announced at a later date.
Marquette’s next blood drive will be on Friday, Oct. 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the AMU’s Henke Lounge. Appointments are encouraged and can be made online or by calling 877-232-4376.
Those who take part in the blood drive will receive a $10 e-gift card post-donation with the option to select from over 70 different merchants including Amazon, Starbucks and Uber.
Marquette and Butler are both members of the BIG EAST Conference for athletics and meet annually in 14 intercollegiate sports.
